I'm considering using Next.js 14 with the App Router, Prisma ORM, and SQLite for local development. I want to incorporate JWT-based authentication through custom API routes and use Tailwind for styling, alongside potentially shadcn. However, I can't make assumptions about shadcn. I'll include TypeScript and ESLint in the setup and create a Prisma schema featuring models like User, Category, Product, and others. I'll establish authentication endpoints and ensure cart persistence works correctly for both logged-in users and guests.

I'm planning to use Tailwind for styling and maybe Framer Motion for animations, though CSS transitions might be enough. I need to focus on using TodoWrite for a multi-step process, creating todo items that map out the steps and implementing them sequentially. I'll utilize the RunCommand tool for scaffolding, like npx create-next-app, and check the current folder to see what's there. I'll inspect it using the LS tool and then proceed with setting up Next.js.
